Responsibilities

UHC's Chief Medical Officer (CMO), is the senior physician in the health center setting and as such is
responsible for the quality management of clinical care for the organization.

The CMO ensures that UHC providers deliver quality evidence-based care that meets or exceeds standards of accrediting bodies and
comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

The Chief Medical Officer functions as part of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and contributes to executive decision making by providing input in
areas of expertise.

Provides professional medical services as appropriate, and other related work, as designated by the Chief Executive Officer

Qualifications

EDUCATION
• Must be a graduate from an accredited medical school and have license to practice in
California. Family Practice or other primary care specialty, Board certification or eligibility
highly desirable.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
• Possess a valid CA License
PRIOR EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of four (4) years of management experience in healthcare preferred.
• Professional clinical experience in Primary Care.
• Experience in the administrative aspects of a health care delivery system highly desirable.
• Must be a strong advocate for the primary healthcare needs of targeted population.
